Electromagnets

Electromagnets are a various from irreversible magnets. Electromagnets are made of coils of wire with electricity passing via them. Moving charges develop magnetic fields, so when the coils of wire in an electromagnet have actually an electric current passing via them, the coils behave prefer a magnet.

When the electrical power stops flowing, the coils don’t act choose a magnet anymore. Electromagnets are supplied in most digital devices once magnetic forces are just needed for short durations of time.
